IPU New Zealand is an innovative tertiary institution situated on an attractive campus of 15.4 hectares on the outskirts of Palmerston North.  All programmes are fully accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).  IPU New Zealand offers a Bachelor of Contemporary International Studies (unique interdisciplinary programmes covering International Relations, Business Studies, Environmental Studies, and Language and Culture), Diploma of Japanese Studies, TESOL, a graduate diploma, and a postgraduate diploma and Master’s degree.

BUSINESS LECTURER 

(MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT)

We are looking for a Business Lecturer (Marketing and Management) who will be able to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  This position requires extensive teaching/research experience at university level.  This position will also be assisting IPU New Zealand’s various collaborative projects, including those with our sister university in Japan, International Pacific University (IPU).

Examples of papers to be taught by this position may include the following:

  • Entrepreneurial Marketing
  • Product Management
  • Project Management
  • Operating Management
  • Consumer Behaviour
  • Marketing Analysis

 

Successful candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Doctorate in Marketing and Management
  • Preferred 5-10 years of teaching experience in international business school
  • Experience of supervising postgraduate and undergraduate students’ research
  • Track record of peer reviewed research and publications in international journals
  • Affiliation with professional marketing and management bodies
  • Proficient in English (Japanese an advantage)
  • Competent computer skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
