Learning Developer (Post Level 13)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support towards online learning modules on the official Learning Management System (Blackboard).
  • Develop online learning material and activities with various learning technologies, including (but not limited to) the official Learning Management System (Blackboard) .
  • Provide first line troubleshooting and support on the official Learning Management System (Blackboard).
  • Provide genera l administrative and logistical support for digitisation team within the IDEAS Lab

  • Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 12.

  • Required competencies:

    • Intermediate computer skills including, but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
    • Strong writing skills in English.
    • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team, as well as independently.
    • Be able to work well under pressure.


    Recommendations:

  • A post-school qualification.
  • Experience in the use of a learning management system (e.g. Blackboard/Moodle).
  • Experience in the higher education sector.
  • Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to AV projects.

  • Assumption of duties:

    01 October 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
