Job Details
The newly established professorship will engage in planning and implementing new research programs in political science at the University of Basel.
The ideal candidate both represent political science in research and teaching and is particularly qualified in the study of European and Asian relationships, democratization processes and federalism.
The position will be within the Social Science Department. Candidates are expected to be open for cooperation, both within the Department and the Faculty as well as, and especially with the Institute for European Global Studies. They should share a strong interest in building bridges between political science and cultural studies.
The successful candidate will be involved in national and international research collaborations. A distinguished track record in the field of political science as well as experience in management of inter- and transdisciplinary projects is expected. The candidate's future research and teaching plans will play an important role in the selection process.
