The Field Support Specialist will drive Torion post sales implementation support and business development for North American customer base.  Drive future business through customer feedback and development of new application opportunities for the Torion product.  Drive internal service and depot development to further strengthen our Torion customer support. 

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Support:
Drive post sales implementation business by providing support beyond the basic installation, by providing direct customer method implementation. The Implement Specialist will work with the customer and Product Engineers to identify and develop customized customer solutions. The specialist will then implement the solution into the customer's site and provide scientific services directly related to their goals in addition to on site customer training.

Installation and Support:
On occassion support installation and maintenance activities as required.

Technical Support:
Act as key technical resource for escalation of customer and technical issues.

Pre-Sales:
Support field sales efforts by acting as a proof statement and consultant as required.

Solutions Provider:
Works closely with the Product Engineers in developing applications and designing new instrument configuration solutions. Act as a direct conduit for customer feedback regarding hardware and software issues. Ensure the voice of the customer is reported back to PKI to ensure new markets are identified, issues are addressed, and support is continually improved to meet customer needs.

Internal Support:  
Develops turn-key installation SOP protocols for customer solution to allow Field Service teams to drive farther into customer support. Provide technical and scientific support to Field Service and Repair Depot teams to maximize customer satisfaction. 

Continuous Self Development: 
Take an active role in developing technical skills and soft skills to maintain and enhance PerkinElmer's value proposition to the customer.   Seek higher level certification through participation in company sponsored training & development initiatives.
