Working in the area of distributed systems, heterogeneous parallel architectures, and low power computing, you will be an integral part of a research collaboration between the School of Computing and TANGO (Transparent heterogeneous hardware Architecture deployment for eNergy Gain in Operation) consortium, which currently has six academic and industrial members from the EU. You will use PhD-level skills in distributed systems or parallel architectures, software engineering, energy-efficiency, and Quality of Service provision to contribute to the design of TANGO architecture and its implementation. TANGO is a three year project funded under Horizon 2020 (http://tango-project.eu/).

As well as holding a PhD (or close to completion) in Computer Science, you will have familiarity with some or all of the following:  Python/Java, Eclipse, Jenkins and Sonarqube. Additionally, you will have a current track record of publications in distributed systems/parallel architectures journals and conferences.
