The Academic Unit of Health Economics is seeking to appoint a research fellow with an interest in health economic evaluations of medical tests and decision-analytic modelling. This post is available immediately and is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving health economic research team with a commitment to supporting and developing its members. We have a wide portfolio of funded research projects spanning a broad range of disease areas and methods.

The applicant will reside within the Academic Unit of Health Economics and be a member of the Test Evaluation Group within the Unit (http://medhealth.leeds.ac.uk/info/705/test_evaluation_group). They will work closely with researchers in health informatics, biostatistics, and clinical trials. The position will include opportunities to work with the Leeds NIHR Diagnostics Evidence Co-operative (http://www.nihr.ac.uk/infrastructure/Pages/DECs.aspx), the Leeds-based Health Technology Co-operative for Colorectal Therapies (http://www.nihr.ac.uk/infrastructure/Pages/HTCs.aspx), the Medical Technologies Innovation and Knowledge Centre (http://www.medical-technologies.co.uk/) and the Leeds Precision Medicine Catapult (https://pm.catapult.org.uk/).

The successful applicant will initially work on specific projects relating to test evaluation. You must have experience or training in the quantitative and data analytical methods needed for cost effectiveness decision-analytical modelling, including competence with relevant software or programming tools. A background in health economics and experience of applied research in health is desirable.
