You will support fund raising from multilateral and bilateral agencies as well as to help to develop new income generation ideas for AKU.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • Research and review development strategies of major funders and find alignment with areas AKU requires funding for.
  • Research and create a database of available financing products.
  • Develop high quality concept notes, proposals, loan documents, presentations and related material in collaboration with faculty, hospital leadership and others.
  • Assist in due diligence activities.
  • Ensure systems in place for systemic monitoring which may require training of relevant stakeholders.
  • Submission of required quarterly/annual reports.
  • Explore ideas for new income generation activities.
  • Assess the financial and operational viability of ideas.
  • Work with key stakeholders for the development of a business plan.(If approved, help implement)
  • Keeping track of developments with bilateral, multilateral funding agencies.


Requirements

  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in finance and/or accounting and/or consulting.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technological savvy e.g. proficient in the use of software especially MS Office.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, independent worker that is able to analyse and work on complex matters independently while seeking support where required.
  • Customer oriented and results driven.
  • Able to coach and develop other staff members.
  • Works well under pressure and under tight timelines.
