The Food & Feed Business (“Business”) of Bioo Scientific- a PerkinElmer Company produces test kits leveraging five core technologies: ELISA, enzyme based detection assays, immunoaffinity columns, spore based growth assays and lateral flow test kits

The General Manager for Food and Feed will develop strategic and tactical plans to drive the overall health and growth of the business and lead the Food & Feed Team in Business, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing for the ELISA and Lateral flow departments. The General Manager will foster a high-performance culture by providing guidance and direction in the implementation of efficient processes, procedures and ensuring efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the business. The General Manager participates in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Communicates vision, values, strategies, and objectives to the overall organization
  • Responsible to lead the Food & Feed Business to achieve AOP and business objectives
  • Develops execution plans, assigns accountabilities; monitors progress and execution, and appraises job results
  • Develops incentives and a climate for offering information and opinions
  • Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.
  • Work with leaders to develop initiatives for controlling and improving, costs, operations and forecast data to determine division progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results
  • Work with cross functional leaders to establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff
  • Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
