Job Purpose
The School of Psychology aims to recruit to a new post in forensic-clinical psychology that will develop and support the innovative combined Forensic Clinical Doctorate in psychology. The post will develop and deliver programmes primarily on the postgraduate ForenClinPsyD course. This is a unique Doctorate that enables trainees who qualify to register as both Forensic and Clinical Psychologists with the BPS and HCPC.
Person Specification
- • A higher Degree relevant to the discipline area (usually PhD, ClinPsyD, or ForenPsyD)
- • Registration as a forensic and/or clinical psychologist in the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- • Chartership in the British Psychological Society (BPS) would be a further asset
- • Extensive research/teaching experience and scholarship within subject specialism
- • Proven ability to devise, advise on and manage learning
- • Skills in managing, motivating & mentoring others successfully at all levels
Teaching
- • Ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes
- • Extensive experience and demonstrated success in developing appropriate approaches to learning and teaching and advising colleagues
- • Experience and achievement in knowledge transfer, enterprise and similar activity that enhances the student/trainee experience or employability
Management Administration
- • Ability to contribute to the School and the Centre for Applied Psychology management processes
- • Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
- • Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes.
