Technical Sales Manager, Coatings, BeNeLux Region, Home-Office

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical professional in the coatings area to move into a role with a more commercial focus whilst maintaining technical input. You will be working directly with production and development teams at coating manufacturing companies across the BeNeLux region, advising them on the best products for their formulations and selling based upon their needs, giving you a lot of job satisfaction.

As Technical Sales Manager for Coatings you will be responsible for managing the company's huge product portfolio including building supplier relationships, managing existing customer accounts and developing business with new coatings manufacturers in the BeNeLux region, so whilst sales is a large part of the role you will also get a lot of a variety in the role.

The company you will be working for are a distributor of chemical specialties for paints & coatings with products including a large of fillers, binders, additives and resins for the architectural, automotive, industrial and wood coatings markets, so you will get a lot of option in which companies to work with and the offering you can give them, ensuring it is easier to build a good sales pipeline.

With an established portfolio of over 2,500 clients worldwide covering all their product areas, you will be working with companies which have an existing relationship, meaning that you won't have to start from scratch in building new client relationships and new business so you can start making sales very quickly.

Responsibilites:

  • Technical Product Management including managing supplier relationships
  • Proactively approaching new companies and developing new business
  • Managing existing customer accounts and developing these relationships
  • Following up on sales opportunities and proactively approaching potential customers in the market
  • Developing sales strategy and conducting regular market analysis to identify potential business opportunities

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in development of coating systems (aqueous solvent or water based, 2k 100% solid, UV curable)
  • Fluent Dutch, Business level English essential
  • Desire to develop technical sales skills
  • Initial experience in sales preferred but not a requirement (training will be provided)
