Job Details
Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, the Administrative Assistant provides a broad range of administrative support for the daily activites in the Augustana Registrar's Office, particularly but not exclusively for student academic records, campus registration, convocation, final exams, as well as receptionist duties and other functions as necessary.
Duties
- Processes all transcript requests and queries related to student academic records
- Processes enrollment verifications and verifies academic credentials
- Assists with the implementation of registration at the start of each academic term
- Assists with the organization of convocation ceremonies
- Assists with the organization of final examination sessions and provides Registrarial presence and assistance for exam Proctors
- Handles receptionist duties for the Registrar's Office
- Sorts and distributes incoming departmental mail
- Oversees Augustana Registrar's Office webpage
- Provides backup for other administrative assistant positions within the Registrar's Office, or the Office of the Dean as required
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered; minimum High School Diploma
- 1 year of office administration experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and concern for accuracy
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Applications (Gmail)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is an asset
