It harbours the disciplines of agriculture, biological sciences, chemistry, earth sciences, food sciences, geography, marine science, maths and physics, planning, the environment and veterinary science.

The University is seeking an exceptional and inspirational leader as the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. Reporting through the Provost, to the Vice-Chancellor, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, academic and administrative leadership and governance of the Faculty, to achieve the University's strategic mission and goals.

The Executive Dean is charged with ensuring the educational outcomes for students are of the highest order and that appropriately directed quality research is encouraged, supported and carried out within the Faculty or in collaboration with staff of other Faculties and Institutes. As a key representative of the Vice-Chancellor and the University to the external community, the Executive Dean will also enhance strong links with government, industry, business alumni, schools, donors and the community.

To be successful, you will have a demonstrated leadership track record and an international reputation for your academic achievements. Your dedication to innovation in teaching and the student experience should be complemented by your ability to develop high value partnerships and a demonstrable commitment to Philanthropic and Alumni engagement. Sound financial management skills should be coupled with a highly collaboratively leadership style and the ability to effectively influence at all levels.
