Job Details
You will be joining the School at an exciting time. We are building a team of approximately 20 professional services staff, following a recent review and restructure of the School’s professional support provision. We are seeking staff who are committed to excellence in student experience, and who are motivated to achieve the Team objectives of innovation, professionalism and cross-team, collaborative working. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement, build their professional networks and to make a real difference both to students and to the success of this vibrant and ambitious Law School.
As Finance Assistant you will provide administrative support to the Finance Officer and other colleagues as an effective member of the School’s Professional Services team. The main duties of the post will involve supporting the Finance Officer with transactional processing, assisting with regular reporting, and any audit requirements. You will also take responsibility for booking business travel for the School and provide support in dealing with day to day general enquiries, and with clerical work as directed by other senior members of the Professional Services team.
You will have 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications/experience) and good IT skills including MS Word and MS Excel. The role requires an aptitude for financial processing together with excellent customer service skills and the ability to organise a varied workload.
