In all areas, the emphasis is on creative exploration and discovery and on interdisciplinary collaboration across the Faculty.

An outstanding candidate is sought to provide technical expertise and assistance primarily in the area of 3D Materials - specifically Wood, digital fabrication or model making; in support of the teaching, learning and research activities of the Faculty.

This role involves the instruction of students and staff, through group workshops or one-to-one contact, in technical skills across a broad range of disciplines, as well as advice in best-practice techniques and the utilisation of relevant equipment in both discipline-specific and interdisciplinary learning activities.

The successful applicant will have a broad skill set, with demonstrable skills in the use of wood and a general knowledge of technologies relating to digital fabrication and design, model making and machining.  The ability to work with a diverse range of capabilities is a definite advantage and the ability to prioritise effectively is vital. Previous experience in the oversight of a studio/workshop environment is preferred as is experience of working with creative researchers and/or creative research teams.
