Position Overview:

As a postdoctoral fellow in Immunology and Immune Modulatory Receptor (IMR) Research you will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists from Immunology basic research and development headed by Rene de Waal Malefyt, PhD. based at MRL Palo Alto, California to conceive, design, plan and implement advanced experiments/assays exploring the pathway biology of immune modulatory receptors. You will focus on the mechanisms of action of IMRs expressed on T cells in the context of inflammation and cancer immunotherapy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Employing complex in vivo disease model systems to address specific question related to immune regulation

- Using cellular and molecular biology to dissect the in vivo observations and drive the discovery process

- Analyses of anti-tumor responses in genetically engineered mouse models


Education Minimum Requirement:

- PhD with 3 years or less of postdoctoral experience or met all the requirements for a PhD by May 2017

Required Experience and Skills:

- Skilled in In Vivo models in one or more of the following therapy areas: Immunology, Tumor Immunology, Infectious Diseases or Autoimmune Diseases

- Experience in FACS analyses

- Experience in Cellular Immunology

Preferred Experience and Skills:

- Ability to design experiments, interpret and track results, and utilize this information to enable assay development

- Strong history of publication in peer-reviewed journals

- Bioanalytical experience, ELISA, Luminex, MSD

- Cell signaling, Signal transduction techniques, WB

- Molecular biology, bioinformatics, genomics experience
