Salary:  £29,301 to £36,001

The ESRC Administrative Data Research Centre for England (ADRC-E), led by the University of Southampton, is recruiting a Communications, Public Engagement and Events Manager with highly developed skills in the strategic planning of events, communications and engagement.

You will be responsible for the marketing and dissemination of ADRC-E’s research and training programme to policy-makers, funders, the media, members of the public and the academic community. You will achieve this aim by: developing and delivering ADRC-E’s events programme; writing high quality, accurate and relevant material for the website and print; designing and preparing promotional materials; preparing exhibitions of our work and managing social media outlets. You may be required to line manage an administrative assistant.

You will have a good understanding of a research environment and keep abreast of the Administrative Data policy agenda in order to inform future direction and activities. You will be adept at communicating research findings in a relevant and timely way. You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering new ideas for communication and engagement, and be highly capable at prioritising your own workload to meet the demands of a busy, diverse environment, as well as supporting and overseeing the work of others to achieve ADRC-E aims. Experience of working in a university environment would be an advantage.
