The Future Talent Program features internships that last 10-12 weeks during the months of June-August, 2017. For the 2017 program, students who accept the positions are responsible for housing costs.

The Specialty Dosage Forms (SDF) group within Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supply (PSCS) is a Merck Research Laboratories (MRL) organization that develops new formulations and container closure systems for specialty products, screens prototype formulations, and conducts stability experiments on final drug products. We are responsible for optimizing the manufacturing processes including scale-up to commercial quantities, manufacturing GMP stability batches, clinical and toxicology batches, and supporting regulatory documentation activities.

One internship position is available in 2017 in the Specialty Dosage Forms group based at our Rahway, NJ site. During your internship appointment you will work closely with an experienced pharmaceutical industry scientist on a research project with key tasks that include, but not limited to, the following:

- Research focus on analytical method development using dissolution and separation techniques

Qualifications

Education:

- Full-time student pursuing a BS, MS or PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant discipline

Dissolution, HPLC, UV and other analytical techniques

Strong personal character and ethics

Superior communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent academic achievement and analytical ability
