School of Population Health

The Department of General Practice and Primary Health Care based on the University of Auckland Tamaki Campus, is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to develop the academic discipline of General Practice and Primary Health Care  including, develop and teach clinical learning environments in primary health care for students of the undergraduate medical programme (MBChB)

Responsibilities include

  • teaching
  • research
  • Service to the community
  • Universities responsibilities - participation in department, School and Faculty meetings


Applicants must

  • have MbChb (or equivalent) FRNZCGP or preferably Masters/PhD 0r other doctorate
  • have experience  practicing medicine in general practice or in association with GPs , preferably experience of supervising medical students in practices and research
  • be proficient in the use Microsoft Office  products and bibliography software and be able to search and critique scientific literature

 

This is a permanent  part-time appointment 0.2 FTE (8 hours per week) and up to 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)
