The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is responsible for distributing nearly £4 billion a year for teaching and research in universities and colleges in England.

The Research Policy team is responsible for HEFCE’s policy development, evaluation and implementation aimed at maximising the excellence and impact of research in universities in England. The post-holder will be located within the Research Policy team and will initially have primary responsibility for managing the £500m portfolio of UK Research Partnership Investment Fund projects, alongside other areas of research policy.

We are looking for a very well-organised, self-motivated person, ideally with a background in higher education, research or policy. Capable of working on their own initiative, the ideal candidate will contribute substantially to the development and delivery of projects. You will have an analytical approach and be a confident communicator with people at all levels.
