London Law Programme Director

The University of Notre Dame invites applications for the position of Director of the London Global Gateway Law Programme (“Law Programme”).  The Director of the London Law Centre is responsible for enhancing the reputation of the University of Notre Dame in London as a premier site for international education and scholarship exchange. We seek a leader who can create a vision and develop and implement strategies that respond to the demands of an ever-expanding London programme of a leading U.S. university.

The Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning and administration of the London Global Gateway Law Programme. Applicants who have spent their career in academia and the bar are welcome. The Director will work closely with the Dean and the Associate Deans of the Law School, the Academic Director of the London Global Gateway, the Vice President and Associate Provost for Internationalization, and faculty and staff members in London and the main campus in the United States.

Qualifications:

The University of Notre Dame is particularly interested in a Director who has administrative and teaching experience and can provide innovative leadership. We are looking for an individual who holds a Postgraduate law degree supported by extensive professional, administrative, and teaching experience.  Professional experience in law firms and higher education institutions are highly desirable. In addition, the successful applicant will have:

  • demonstrated ability to bring vision, strategic thinking, and coherent planning to an academic or comparable environment;
  • proven teaching ability and effective oral and written communications skills;
  • an interest in promoting the research and teaching capacity of the university;
  • knowledge of and experience in the British legal market; and
  • a commitment to advance international study, exchange, and scholarship by cultivating Notre Dame’s global alliances and partnerships.
