The Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) requires an Electronics Laboratory Technician to provide practical and innovative assistance to students and staff. 

You will contribute to the technical operation of the specialised teaching, project and 'Maker space' laboratories. You will be joining a motivated and dynamic team of technical specialists.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding and practical knowledge of a technical nature within an Electronic/Electrical Engineering environment. In particular, you will have experience of circuit prototyping/assembly and the ability to show others how to perform these tasks safely. Your duties will include: laboratory outfitting of test equipment, wiring and furnishings/hardware - some testing and maintenance of equipment - Maintaining Stock inventory and purchase of electronic consumables.

You will be able to plan, organize and prioritise activities in a busy projects laboratory whilst maintaining customer requirements, have a strong commitment to safe working practices and will comply with relevant legislation. You will be able to manage conflicting and frequently changing priorities and will thrive in an environment that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
