Minimum Requirements:


  • A Master’s degree in Somatology or equivalent
  • At least three(3 years’ experience in a higher education setting
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Involvement in research supervision

  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in research writing and publication
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet and Email use

Summary of Duties:

  • Competent preparation and delivery of learning material related to somatology discipline at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Ability to facilitate learning effectively – through traditional and online mediums
  • Undertake assessment and administration duties related to teaching, learning and research
  • Undertake research publications and become involved in community engagement projects
  • Undertake any additional duties assigned by HOD
  • Working collegially with team members towards attaining the goals of the department, Faculty and University


Salary: R258924 to R466512, plus benefits
