The position provides the opportunity for the Intern to develop data-driven, profit-maximizing recommendations concerning the allocation and targeting of promotional resources through the application of quantitative methods to secondary data sources. Technical and analytical skills, including SAS programming, are required.

Primary activities may include, but are not limited to:

- Promotion response modeling

- Business impact assessment for physician- and patient-directed promotional programs

- Return-on-investment analysis

- Behavioral segmentation

The Intern will gain experience with analytical projects that have a direct impact on decisions concerning the amount, allocation and targeting of available resources. Projects may be product-specific or focused on issues spanning multiple products. At the conclusion of the term, the Intern will share results and recommended actions as a final project presentation.

This is a paid internship targeted to start in May/June 2017 for 10-12 weeks.

Qualifications

Education:

- Required: Currently enrolled in an MA/MS degree program in a Computer related or Quantitative discipline such as: Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Science, or other relevant discipline.

- Have completed at least two semesters of graduate study by May 31, 2017.

- Be returning to school in Fall, 2017.

Required Experience:

- Applicants should have an interest in supporting pharmaceutical product Marketing and Sales initiatives and the ability to apply and interpret basic quantitative methods.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience with SAS or a comparable programming language is highly desired.

- Technical knowledge and experience with Multivariate Statistical Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis or Design of Experiments.
