Client IT Technician
You will be expected to deal with a wide range of queries that may present themselves within the Client IT environment in order to resolve directly or facilitate resolution as well as maintain “Operational Service” (Business As Usual) through provision of a Client IT environment that works with a maximum ease-of-use and minimum of disruption to the user.
With some experience of providing first or second line support in a busy and complex IT environment, you will have experience of using and knowledge of Windows and/or Mac and Linux client operating systems. You will be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. In addition, you will have experience of undertaking trouble shooting and first and second line fixes of desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices.
This role will be part of a team which will provide a service to a wide range of users within the University and this role will therefore require candidates to work in a range of Faculties and Services to meet the needs of the IT Service.
