Australian Genomics Health Alliance

The Australian Genomics Health Alliance (AGHA) was formed in late 2015 following the award of a $25M grant from NHMRC. The alliance creates a national network of clinicians, pathologists and researchers working towards the development and adoption of genomic medicine into clinical care, both within Australia, and in collaboration with international consortia.

The AGHA will work closely with two state based genomics alliances, specifically the Queensland Genomics Health Alliance (QGHA) and the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance (MGHA). The state based alliances will support the seamless translation of genomics applications and policies to the Australian healthcare system and community. The University of Queensland is the administrative lead for QGHA.

The role

The successful appointee will develop and manage the ICCon Partnership research project for the Australian Genomic Health Alliance (AGHA) in collaboration with ICCon Partners and the AGHA. The position will liaise closely with the FCCs, ICCon partners and the genetic test laboratory.

Applicants should possess qualifications, training and extensive experience in relevant disciplines. You should also have a strong background and knowledge in oncology and/or genetics, experience in preparing submissions for HRECs, excellent statistical and analytic skills, very good writing abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams.
