An opportunity has emerged for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the team in School of Medicine within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and engaged individual to join our research team. The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. anaesthesiology, biomedical or biomedical sciences, bioengineering, psychology or behavioural sciences). The main purpose of the position is to support the Head of School in organising and managing research and other academic activities, and to contribute to these activities. This work will be predominantly but not exclusively related to human factors, simulation and patient safety in the context of surgery and anaesthesia. A sound understanding of good clinical research practices, ability to contribute to academic writing and statistical analysis, and a self-directed work ethic will be key attributes of the successful candidate. There is scope for the successful candidate to develop his or her own research interests and projects within this role.
