Job Details
You will work as an independent researcher to optimise, apply and supervise the implementation of biochemical methods to measure Aβ peptides, blood-brain barrier leakage, pericyte (platelet-derived growth factor β receptor) and endothelial (von Willebrand factor) content, and myelin proteins, in samples of human post-mortem brain tissue.
This post will support a 2-year project funded by Alzheimer's Research UK, during which techniques developed within the Dementia Research Group in Bristol will be used to characterise tissue from several Edinburgh post-mortem brain cohorts with cerebrovascular disease.
