A full time - fixed term Research Fellow position is available within the Centre for Implementation Science to undertake data of health related information and routine data sets and produce accurate reports for a varied audience of health professionals. You will have a PhD or equivalent research and/or professional experience in a health related area.

You will work closely with Wessex Academic Science Network (AHSN) to identify, analyse and summarise local data in order to evaluate the Wessex AHSN quality improvement programmes (eg medicine optimisation, respiratory, mental health, nutrition, dementia, digital health, primary care workforce). You will also collaborate with a wide range of other NHS and academic colleagues in Wessex universities.

You will have experience of undertaking quantitative data analysis in a health related area. You will be familiar with relevant methods and methodologies, including data visualisation. Although not essential, experience of programming languages (e.g. Python, R), statistical packages, data mining, machine learning, and operational research modelling would be an advantage.

Applications will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
