The Student Marketing Office is responsible for managing and coordinating the University’s promotional and marketing activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in respect of its annual intake of approximately 7,000 students. It is looking to appoint an Assistant Publications Officer to support on student recruitment marketing activities to raise awareness of the University of Bristol to prospective students worldwide, and to convert the highest calibre applicants.

The successful applicant will support the work of the Publications Team on student recruitment marketing activities across print, web and social media. The post-holder will work with the Publications Officer on the development of publicity materials for undergraduate, postgraduate and international audiences. The role will include sourcing, writing and editing copy for print and online, ensuring communications are relevant and accessible to targeted audiences worldwide.

The post-holder will have experience of print and design, and working on publications from inception to completion. The successful applicant will have good editorial skills and the ability to tailor writing style to the needs of particular markets. Planning and organisational skills are essential, as are interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
