German Tax Expert, Expanding Finance Department, Weil am Rhein

A fantastic opportunity for anyone who lives on the German/Swiss border to join a company who are currently going through a phase of growth, this opportunity as Tax Expert is to join a growing Finance department which currently consists of 5 people and will grow to 9 people over the next six months as they take on specialists in the areas of Treasury, Tax and Accounting as part of a broader business plan to grow the company in all areas from HR, R&D, Finance, Sales and Marketing.

As Tax Expert you will be the key contact point in your 6 person team in relation to all tax queries, with primary responsibility for ensuring tax compliance with German VAT and HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch), so you will have regular contact with German Tax Authorities and will work closely with tax law. As a result of the company's international profile, you will also get the chance to work with tax law across Europe as the business have operations in France, Switzerland, UK and Italy among others, allowing you to develop international tax expertise.

You will be joining an international chemicals company that manufacture their own range of products for use in the international market including Europe, Asa-Pacific and South America. With operations in over 45 countries and physical production sites in countries worldwide, they have got an international presence which allows them to dominate their specialist field of activity, ensuring consistent revenue streams and a stable company.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years industry experience in Tax Consultancy/Advisory
• Good knowledge of German HGB and VAT
• (StB) Steuerberater Qualification
• Fluent German and a good level of English speaking
