The Global Strategic Programs Manager will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This position will be responsible for assisting the leadership team with creating, communicating, implementing, and sustaining strategic initiatives within the Discovery and Analytics division of PerkinElmer. They will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. The position requires strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, the ability to challenge the status quo and drive innovative thinking and the capability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects. This program manager will lead cross-functional teams to drive key organizational projects that will result in both the short and long-term growth of the organization. The position requires tactical agility and consulting skills with a strong bias toward delivery. Projects often span time zones and regions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively manages assigned Strategic Programs across the organization, to deliver optimal impact of the project (requirements, budget, timeframe).
  • Apply a strong bias for execution and the ability to managing the operational aspects of Strategic Programs, which include multiple ongoing projects in support of multiple major, corporate strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve time sensitive project risks, issues, interdependencies, and conflicts, both within and across business units and initiatives and coordinate implementation. Use strong relationship management and communication skills to align outcomes.
  • Develop methods to monitor progress of multiple projects across business units and initiatives. Provide analytical support in synthesizing and reporting results. Track progress against enterprise plan and ensure project teams and other stakeholders have the tools necessary to deliver a timely implementation
  • Partner with Finance to establish appropriate level of investment for projects and maintain the funding approval as needed.
  • Coordinate with key internal and external partners, ensuring all parties are appropriately informed, engaged and driving desired results.
