    In this context, we are seeking an innovative and experienced strategic leader to be appointed to the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies. As Dean, you will lead and manage ambitious transdisciplinary learning and research programmes in the areas of Art and Design, Communication, Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, and Creative Technologies.

    Based in Auckland and reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, you will be a key member of the strategic leadership team of the University and will provide strategic direction to continue to build this exciting Faculty. Crucial to success in this role will be your excellent executive leadership credentials demonstrated through the effective management of a large and complex School or Department in an academic environment. Personal attributes will include your ability to think at a strategic level, strong interpersonal skills and an understanding and affection for the disciplines within the Faculty. A doctoral level qualification will be preferred.

    With personal and professional credibility and gravitas, you will be able to effectively create and enhance industry connections nationally while also developing and fostering partnerships and alliances on an international level. With a determination to succeed, you will be visionary and innovative, able to recognise opportunities and then inspire and motivate your team to achieve student outcomes to align with a rapidly changing external environment.
