The School of Molecular and Cell Biology seeks a committed academic to make a dynamic contribution to the discipline of Genetics and Developmental Biology through an active engagement with both academic and administrative tasks within the School.

Qualifications: The minimum qualification is a PhD and academic teaching. Postdoctoral experience and publications in the relevant field would be an added advantage.

Final selection will be made on the basis of scholarship and potential to contribute to the work and reputation of the School.

Expertise:  A demonstrable background in the fundamentals of genetics and a focused research interest in a field such as molecular genetics, population genetics, cytogenetics, genetics of development, genomics, is desireable.

Duties: Teaching all aspects of the discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, maintain an active research profile and participate in the administration of the School, Faculty and University.
