School of Population Health
The department of General Practice and Primary Health Care is seeking to appoint a palliative care physician and nurse to deliver teaching, participate in interactive elements and be involved in assessment of students in the postgraduate palliative courses and to assess students work formatively providing feedback for improvement
Applicants must have
- relevant medical qualifications to teach palliative care along with MBChB and FAChOM or equivalent
- or relevant nursing qualifications to teach palliative care along with a post graduate qualification
- relevant experience to teach palliative care especially symptom management
- academic experience of university teaching and ability to deliver postgraduate courses to multidisciplinary students
- ability to search literature data bases, understand research methodologies an critically appraise research
- ability to use university software including CANVAS
- ability to deliver education on-line using various technologies including course builder
Both positions are permanent part-time 0.2 FTE (8 hours per week)
