The School of Communication and Creative Industries aims to be one of the most dynamic, innovative and diverse schools of its kind in an Australian University. The communication and creative industries are experiencing unprecedented change, and the challenges that come with this are being embraced by the School with a goal of preparing students for roles and responsibilities as professionals in this new world environment. The School’s industry, professional development and creative degree programs offer an essential mix of real-world practical experiences informed by sound academic theory and a broad liberal arts education.
Within the Faculty of Arts, Business and Law, the School plays a key role in a Faculty that seeks to make a difference through research, learning and teaching, and engagement with its communities. The Head of the School of Communication and Creative Industries will bring a focus on the achievement of growth whilst maintaining quality and ensuring an outstanding student experience. The ongoing growth and development of quality research will be at the forefront of the future development of the School, along with the further development and diversification of the portfolio of programs. An ambitious but collaborative leader, the Head of School will be a team player who is experienced in collaborating both internally and externally to identify and pursue opportunities to achieve growth and development goals, and who can further harness the talent within the School to create impact in both teaching and research.
