The incumbent will be required to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, develop independent research programmes, supervise research and undertake administration duties with reference to the following mainstreams: Design Appraisal and Measurement; Construction Economics and Management; Property Development Economics; and Property Valuations. 
    
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•    A BSc(Hons) in Quantity Surveying or other professional recognised equivalent qualification
•    A Masters degree in an appropriate area 
•    Experience in either University teaching or relevant mentorship experience in an industrial or research environment
•    Evidence of research potential supported by current publications in DoHET accredited journals and  peer reviewed conference proceedings

The successful candidate will be expected to complete a PhD within 5 years of date of assumption of duty.
