Coatings Formulations Developer, Automotive Market, Düsseldorf

A fantastic opportunity with a company specializing in the Automotive Coatings market with a focus on developing primer-less coatings for Automotive OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). As Coatings Formulations Developer, you will be working on a number of R&D projects with different OEM customers to develop custom coatings for their needs which will require mainly laboratory work as well as some customer visits, allowing you a good level of diversity in your position.

The company you will be working for are a mid-size coatings manufacturer for the Automotive sector with their headquarters in the Düsseldorf area and additional sites across the Asia-Pacific region. Having recently been acquired by one of the biggest coatings manufacturers worldwide, the company now have significantly more financial backing which has allowed them to re-invest in their R&D department so that they can broaden their product portfolio, allowing them to move into more markets and diversify their offering for end-customers.

You will be joining an R&D team of 15 people which includes 3 Team Leaders and the current R&D Director. The company really invest in their staff development and their happiness, so their average employmetn length in the R&D team is 10 years, so it's a place where you can really get to know people and feel secure in your position with the company.

Requirements:

• Completed Practical Training as Lacklaborant
• Minimum 2 years experience in formulating liquid water-based coatings for metal substrates
• Previous experience working with Automotive Coatings preferred
• Knowledge of primer-less coatings of advantage
• Fluent German essential
