Global Health Economics Manager - Technical Health Economics - Global HTA submissions - Switzerland

I have been engaged by one of the top global pharmaceutical companies to expand their global health economics team. The global health economics modelling team numbers around 20 people and goes from senior associate level health economist, up to global heads of function.

The team that you will join is responsible for global modelling and one of the most technically able teams in all of the pharma companies. They build global economic models internally and then work with health economists in affiliates to adapt their models to different countries.

They also manage the company's global HTA submissions and you will quickly gain experience with HTA submissions in multiple countries. They complete the economic sections of HTA submissions and help adapt and tailor global work to each affiliate country.

The health economist team also work on global market access strategy for different brands and sit in on global strategy meetings to represent the health economist point of view on how best to achieve reimbursement.

The health economist team you are joining is one of the top global health economics team of any pharma, so gaining a position with them is very difficult as they are selective. However if you can achieve a position with them, other pharma companies will always be interested in you as a candidate and people who have left the team have gone onto senior level health economics / market access positions in other companies.

You need to be a capable health economics modeller with an interest in technical health economics. If you do not enjoy modelling, this position is not for you. As a modeller you do not necessarily need to have built a model yet, but you must have done model adaptations.
