As one of the country’s leading art schools, Winchester School of Art is part of the University of Southampton, a Russell Group university and one of the UK’s top research-led universities. We have a well-established and successful transnational educational collaboration in Dalian, China. We offer four year undergraduate programmes in Fashion Design and Graphic Design with routes for progression into associated programmes at Winchester School of Art. These new roles would be to join a growing team of academic staff and support staff that are currently teaching students at our joint campus with partner institute Dalian Polytechnic University.
Joining a highly motivated team and International team you will have sound knowledge and experience of teaching either the subjects of fashion or graphic design at Higher Education level, of student learning, enhancement and familiarity with UK quality standards.
We are looking for individuals who will be equally at ease in a lecture theatre and studio setting, able to meet the needs of a large and diverse student body and to work with an International group of teaching staff with the assistance of bilingual Teaching Assistants. The role requires excellent communication skills and an understanding of and ability to deliver teaching strategies that support and develops our transnational teaching agenda.
Whilst in China you will be provided with free on-campus accommodation, travel insurance cover, a basic medical insurance cover, and two return flights home per academic year (following a Chinese academic year) during your employment.
