VACANCY: LECTURER

Minimum Requirements

  • MSc in Mathematical Statistics or an equivalent degree
  • One year’s experience in undergraduate teaching at university level or two years’ practical experience

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching-learning
  • Research
  • Administration

 

Other competency requirements:

  • The ability to present undergraduate and postgraduate Statistics modules
  • The ability to handle large undergraduate classes
  • The ability to handle course development and administrative tasks
  • The ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • The ability to use various statistical computer packages
  • The ability to work independently
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal relations and a client-service orientation
  • Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU
