• Teaching Financial/Investment Management modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level;
• Postgraduate supervision up to PhD level;
• Participating in Departmental, Faculty and University activities;
• Conducting self-initiated research.

• A relevant PhD degree in Financial Management, Investment Management or Corporate Finance;
• Completion of the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification;
• Subject knowledge in at least two of the following areas: financial planning and control, capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate valuation, portfolio management, risk-return relationships (portfolio theory and the cost of capital);
• Lecturing experience in Financial/Investment Management modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level;
• Experience in postgraduate supervision up to PhD level;
• An extensive record of research publications in accredited subject journals;
• An NRF-rating or international recognition as a researcher.
• The ability to teach in both English and Afrikaans at undergraduate level;
• Practical experience in a financial management environment;
• Academic management experience in a university environment.
