School of Veterinary Science
The School of Veterinary Science has a rich history having been founded in 1936 and has a reputation for graduating self-reliant, independent and highly capable veterinarians with plenty of initiative and drive. The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a small animal hospital and large animal clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.
The role
This position is based at the Student Clinical Skills Hub (The Hub) and will be responsible for preparing, maintaining and developing models for clinical teaching to help students develop clinical skills. The incumbent will assist academics in clinical teaching and will also be responsible for maintaining the facility.
The person
Applicants for this position should possess a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelors degree in Applied Science (Veterinary Technology), together with at least five years nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Remuneration
This is a full-time continuing appointment at Hew Level 4. The remuneration package will be in the range $57,698.64 - $61,462.02 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17%. The total remuneration will be in the range $67,507.41 -$71,910.56 p.a.
