We are seeking an experienced, skilled and professional administrator to work with researchers in the field of Quantum Technologies, providing high-quality industrial engagement and project administration support.
This will be a varied role within the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC), specifically working with Principal Investigator (PI) Professor Peter Smith in support of his Quantum Technologies Fellowship, and taking day-to-day direction from his senior staff.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provision of professional, high quality administrative support for Quantum Technologies Fellowship grant, in particular, to the Principal Investigator and his senior staff.
- Relationship management on behalf of the Principal Investigator and his senior staff specifically building relationships with industrial partners to help ensure that project outcomes are achieved.
- Liaising with the relevant teams to ensure that the industrial impact of the project is communicated through trade press, promotional events, and other media as appropriate.
- Proactively monitoring and reporting on financial, logistical and personnel resources.
- Administration of high level meetings and events, including recording and distributing minutes, arranging registration, travel and accommodation.
- Proactively planning the preparation of documents for funding applications including management of deadlines and bringing together inputs from multiple partners including industry.
The successful candidate will be proactive, customer-focused and have excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills and experience building relationships with key stakeholders will be essential.
