Principal Financial Analyst for the North American Diagnostics Applied Genomics business - a core $160M segment of the growing Diagnostics Division within PerkinElmer. Support development of annual operating plans, monthly forecasting, monthly operational reporting, as well as new products/contract impact analysis for the Diagnostics Applied Genomics businesses in North America. This position reports to the Director, Global Finance, for Applied Genomics.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support internal financial and operational reporting for the North American Diagnostics division. Assist with the preparation of materials for presentation to the division president
  • Develop detailed understanding of business revenue, ASP, and margins by product line along with the business segment market, profitability, and business trends
  • Partner with functional and product line leaders to analyze consolidated results, identify trends, and develop projections. Provide commentary and recommendations for divisional management.
  • Support the consolidation, analysis and development of the North American Diagnostics long range and annual operating plans, monthly forecasts and business reviews
  • Partner with Controller & Collection teams to understand reported results and the impact of revenue recognition / accounting adjustments on financial projections
  • Conduct key sales deal / contracts pricing analysis; provide recommendations to Sales & Marketing leadership to optimize business profitability objectives
  • Perform analytical modeling as required by the organization to assess the economic viability of Merger & Acquisition transactions and/or proposed new products. Participate in operational due diligence exercises as required to identify operational risk or potential synergies
  • Participate, as needed, in process improvement initiatives across businesses focused on improving forecast accuracy, cost savings & selling effectiveness
  • Help develop and maintain necessary data and reporting related to the market and competition including market size, market share, pricing, and market opportunity
