Director, Strategy and Business Development

The Director, Strategy and Business Development for Discovery & Analytical Solutions (DAS) is responsible for identifying key growth areas, evaluating opportunities and executing business partnerships and M&A activity for all DAS businesses. This critical leadership position will lead strategy development for the DAS business, working closely with business leadership and real-time input from the external environment (e.g., technology, competitors, etc.). This position is responsible for special strategy projects in support of BD or divisional initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead global business development initiatives that are consistent with the Division’s overall strategy.
• Analyze market, industry and technology trends and incorporate them into a comprehensive business strategy that extends DAS’s capabilities and contributes to PKI top-line and bottom-line growth.
• Work with business unit teams to drive a high quality Strategic Goal Setting (SGS) planning thought process.
• Own process implementation of the business’ strategic plan.
• Drive analysis and recommendations on key strategic decisions for DAS business units, including partnering with key leaders on portfolio an market segment decisions
• Strategize with Executive Level DAS leadership, Sales and Marketing on approaches for different buyer audiences, products and services.
• Manage complex contract negotiations, partnering with DAS leadership and others as necessary.
• Drive all phases of business development, including research, market analysis, due diligence, and evaluation of partners in the environmental health, informatics, pharmaceutical and academic research industries.
