We are looking for experienced, dynamic and highly qualified Business Managers for Service Lines; Heart, Lungs & Vascular, Mind & Brain and Musculoskeletal & Sports Medicine to work as part of the Service Line leadership teams. You will be responsible to lead and oversee the business and clinical service operations of the service line, ensuring the efficiency of all operations as well as setting strategic goals for the future. You should be well-versed in all matters of the business to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the organization’s vision and culture. You will be involved in service planning, development of business cases, staff performance management, activity monitoring and delivery, quality control and budget management.

Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • upon guidance of the Service Line Chief, lead the overall management of the Service Line which includes development and implementation of the strategic and annual plans, particularly in relation to patient care services
  • develop goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity. Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
  • produce business cases for any service development, ensuring that the implications of service changes or developments have been accurately assessed
  • ensure that the service line goals and objectives are accomplished as well as the day to day operational activities of the Service Line are executed in an efficient manner
  • serve as a link between clinical and administrative areas and coordinate educational programmes in liaison with the departments of the University
  • improve efficiency, maintain budgeting, develop business, quality of clinical services, oversee department quality initiatives and implement quality standards, & JCIA recommended measures in the Service Line
  • act as an entrepreneur and think out of the box. Also provides direction, consultation and implementation of new programmes
  • supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • provide support to the Service Line Chief and Nurse Manager in meeting performance targets and on business and contracting issues, providing advice, analysis and information as required
  • represent the Service Line in internal & external forums, meetings as required.


Requirements

You should have:

  • Masters Degree in Business / Health Administration or equivalent from a reputed university. MBBS degree will be an added advantage
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in health care administration or in a challenging business environment knowledge of resource management including financial management excellent negotiation skills with knowledge of marketing ability to analyse and prepare budget variance reports and statistical data ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders for the delivery of exemplary patient care services expected to independently take decisions for operational activities, subject to policies and procedures excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to describe complex ideas in clear and meaningful forms and to present data and information to various audiences display high level of initiative, reliability and maturity in problem solving skills.
