R&D Chemist, Growing Inkjet Inks Team, Zurich

I currently have a great opportunity to join a growing chemicals company that develop and manufacture their own range of inks for the decorative, packaging and digital inkjet markets. As a result of significant demand in the market for their inkjet inks range they are looking to develop a number of new products as well some new technologies which are due to launch in the next 2-3 years, allowing them to reach their goal of becoming the market leader for inkjet technologies.

The company are currently working on a number of new technology projects and have more demand than their R&D team can currently handle so are looking to take on an experience R&D Chemist for their Digital Inkjet range. You will be joining an R&D team of 6 people which includes 5 highly experienced R&D Chemists with a minimum of 7 years experience in the inks industry in addition to their Inkjet Laboratory Manager who was recently promoted internally, so it's a great place to build experience and learn from other experts which will allow you to become a technical authority in the future.

The company are located within travelling distance of Zurich where they have their headquarters including their R&D and Production facilities as well as offices for their Marketing, Sales and Supply Chains teams which gives them the ability to make decisions on a very short time scale so they can stay ahead of market trends and alter their portfolio from start to finish on a quick basis.

Requirements:

• Completed practical training as Lacklaborant/Lacktechniker OR an Academic Degree in Chemistry
• Minimum of 2 years in R&D formulating waterborne inks
• Knowledge of UV curing processes preferred but not essential
• Conversational level German essential
