About the Role

The Employer Engagement Team is part of the wider Career Development and Employment Services Department (CDES). Our philosophy is to support students to develop the skills and knowledge they will need to build their preferred future, making this role a fundamental link in the chain that connects students with employers. The focus of the three person Employer Engagement team is to facilitate meaningful interactions between our students and employers, and to support employers to attract graduate talent.

Your customer service approach will be vital as you will be the first point of contact for enquiries and support the day to day running of the team and our services, such as the online job board we have for our students. Your previous administrative experience will stand you in good stead, as you update and distribute promotional content for employers and our events, and manage employer requirements with ease an efficiency. Attention to detail and accuracy are key as you handle quotes, invoices, calendars and reports.

Working closely with the Employer Event Coordinator and Employer Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in delivering our team’s strategic objectives and supporting a range of events from large career expos to niche career education events. This is a deadline driven role, where you will regularly rely on your initiative and your flair for efficiency.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ year’s administrative experience in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience in a customer facing role, embedding a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and adapt with ease, while maintaining a high standard of work
  • Exceptional communication skills and a high level of professional written English, including grammar and spelling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the demonstrable ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Proactive, solutions focused and driven by bundles of your own initiative
  • A high level of attention to detail and standard of work
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Word and Excel skills

Your normal working hours will ideally be 8:30am – 4:30pm (open to negotiation) Monday-Friday. You will be required to support the team at some evening events, for which you will get your time back.

This is a fulltime, level three professional position and will be based at the City Campus.
