Salary:  £29,301 to £36,001 Pro rata per annum

Part Time (40%) Fixed Term (6 Months)

The University of Southampton is home to a thriving applied psychology network, in which a number of projects in clinically related areas are underway, notably treatment-resistant depression, social anxiety, chronic pain and homelessness.

The Academic Unit of Psychology are inviting applications to work on an exciting and varied role across two research projects, with Dr Nick Maguire. You will undertake research in accordance with the evaluation of peer support in homelessness, and a physical health project investigating chronic pain and leadership, management and engagement activities. Pain. You will also undertake leadership, management and engagement activities.

You will have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in applied psychology, a detailed understanding and knowledge of applied psychology and experience of overseeing or managing complex research projects.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
