Job Details
Job Purpose
The goal is to undertake a research project, sponsored by EPSRC, in the field of Advanced Materials for Energy Generation and Transmission. The work will be focused on carrying out research, data collection and analysis with a view to creating, and hopefully subsequently exploiting, new knowledge. It will involve a number of other partners, including the Universities of St Andrews (who are the project leaders), Bath and Edinburgh. The successful applicant will also have the chance to contribute to related projects and to receive input from other researchers, technicians and academic staff at UoB and elsewhere.
Person Specification
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- • A PhD or equivalent in materials science & engineering.
- • Practical experience with the processing and characterisation of advanced ceramic materials (structural and/or functional) would be highly beneficial.
- • The successful candidate should be able to analyse data and information, communicate effectively, access and organise resources and be able to interact with other researchers and partners to mutual benefit.
